Photo of Barnes Ben Barnes grew up on a mango farm in a small, rural town called Katherine in outback Australia and moved to America in 2007. He is an Aging and Gerontology major and plans to enroll in medical school or graduate school in biomedical science after completing undergraduate studies.
Photo of Chapman James Chapman is a Political Science and International Studies major from Hopkinsville, Kentucky.  He concentrates in international relations with an emphasis on the Middle East. He plans to attend law school or pursue a master's degree in diplomacy after graduation.
Photo of Donahue Kit Donohue is working to complete a double major in Mathematics and International Studies. Her focus area in the IS major is culture and arts in North Africa and the Middle East. Kit also plays piano in the jazz program at the university and plans to minor in piano performance.
Photo of Grant Jason Grant is an English, Linguistics, and French major from Lexington, Kentucky. After graduating, he plans to pursue an MFA in creative writing (with a focus in fiction) and a PhD in literature.
Photo of Jawahir Nazeeha Jawahir is from Lexington, Kentucky. She is  majoring in Chemistry and Philosophy and working toward minor in Spanish.
Photo of Johnson Bailey Johnson is an English major and a Spanish minor from Lexington, Kentucky. She plans to continue literary studies in graduate school and to work in book publishing.
Photo of Keller Rachel Keller is an Economics and Spanish double major from Harrodsburg, Kentucky. She plans to pursue a career studying the effects of economic policy on individuals and communities within the U.S., as well as on U.S. relations with developing nations.
Photo of Kuchle Christina Kuchle is from Kenton County and is double majoring in Forestry and Natural Resource Conservation Management.  In her spare time she enjoys trap shooting, playing the piano, hiking, gardening, singing in the Newman Center choir, and playing rugby.
Phot of Laurel Jonathan Laurel is an Architecture major from Charlotte, North Carolina. His interests in architecture come from the human agent in making and experiencing the built environment as well as recurrent social, theoretical, and formal issues, and he intends to study these topics in architecture through a career as an architectural historian.
Photo of Newberry Raven Newberry hails from Paducah, Kentucky. She is a Geography major with a focus on urban design and theory.
Photo of Reynolds Katie Reynolds is from Bowling Green, Kentucky.  Her major is History, and her minor is Anthropology.

Jenna Brashear is a Music Education and International Studies major from Central City, Kentucky. Her jury project is a proposal for a performing arts center in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky. Read her proposal here.

CrouchJames Crouch

Jimmy Crouch is from Lexington, Kentucky; he is majoring in Psychology, Philosophy, Sociology. His jury project is to form an online resource network called HAPLUK, the HIV and AIDS Project for Lexington and the University of Kentucky. Read his proposal here.

DunnaganRebekah Dunnagan

Rebekah Dunnagan is from Louisville, Kentucky. She is majoring in Biology. Her jury project is to establish a local chapter of the Women's Educational Empowerment Project in Southern Sudan, through which she and others will sponsor women's education and the construction of schools in the region. Joanna Grant is an Architecture major from Henderson, Kentucky. She is a member of UK's Dressage Team. Her jury project is a design for a homeless shelter in Lexington. Read her proposal

Ronald Keates

Ronald Keates is a Biology and Chemistry major from Alexandria, Kentucky. His jury project aims to increase the number of recycling bins on campus and in downtown Lexington. Read his proposal here.

NoeKatie Noe
Katie Noe, from Lexington and Bardstown, Kentucky, is a French and English major. Her jury project is to contribute a collection of oral histories—interviews with members of the Jim Beam family and bourbon industry—to the Kentucky Virtual Library website. Read her proposal here.

Eric Schlich is from Lexington, KY. He is majoring in English and Spanish. His jury project entails founding The Cat's Figment, a free monthly literary and visual arts publication for UK's campus. Read his proposal here.

SuttonKarah Sutton

Karah Sutton is an Arts Administration major from Lexington, Kentucky. Her focus is on theatre and vocal performance. Karah's jury project is to initiate a collaboration between the Lexington Children's Theatre and the Kentucky School for the Deaf and to produce a performance that incorporates signing into storytelling. Clay Turner, from Lexington, Kentucky, is majoring in Biology and Music. His jury project entails developing a web-based resource for high school, transfer, and current students seeking research mentors and research opportunities on UK's campus. Read his proposal here.

Jessalyn Ubellacker is a Biology and International Studies major from Georgetown, Kentucky. Her jury project is to develop publicity—in particular, a print campaign and web presence—for the Medical Legal Partnership for Kentucky Children. Read her proposal here.
