In 2003, the Kentucky River Authority initiated a Watershed Grant Program to provide financial assistance to local groups interested in engaging in watershed education, management or water quality sampling activities. Grants of up to $3,000 were awarded to applicants in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008.
