In 2003, the Kentucky River Authority initiated a Watershed Grant Program to provide financial assistance to local groups interested in engaging in watershed education, management or water quality sampling activities. Grants of up to $3,000 have been awarded to applicants since 2004. Descriptions of past grant projects are provided below. These watershed grants from the Kentucky River Authority have provided much-needed funding assistance for local efforts to improve water quality conditions. Further, the projects funded by the grants engender community interest, education and enthusiasm for continued watershed initiatives.
KRA Watershed Grant applications are currently being accepted for the 2011-12 grant year. If you are interested in applying, please download the application and submit it no later than December 15, 2011.
