Focus Watershed: North Fork of Kentucky River The main goal of this project is to provide educational materials that will assist an Upper Kentucky River Basin Coordinator, hired by the Letcher County Water and Sewer District. Specifically, Enviroscape© watershed models will be purchased and used to demonstrate effects of nonpoint source pollution on local water quality issues. This model will be used in presentations to both local school children and adult audiences. In addition, water quality testing equipment will be purchased for use by local, volunteer water quality monitoring groups, such as Kentucky River Watershed Watch.
