Focus Watershed: Town Branch of South Elkhorn Creek

This nonprofit organization applied for KRA funding to translate their existing educational materials into formats that can be more widely distributed throughout the local school system. These educational formats may include CD-ROM, DVD, video or printed materials. The Town Branch Trail organization is working toward the larger goals increasing public awareness of the Town Branch watershed and its environmental status and of creating a 'shared use' greenway trail along the creek that would connect downtown Lexington with area neighborhoods, parks and historic sites. The educational information developed for this proposal would also eventually be displayed as permanent signage along this trail system.
