KVUG MEETING PLANS: The KVUG, 2001 meeting has been set for Friday, June 29th at Young Library on the UK campus. Perry has contacted Linda Voyles and she has agreed to ask Marjorie to send a trainer to provide an Acquisitions 2000 Overview, and Jim Miesse to give the Endeavor Update. Perry is looking into the possibility of getting a second trainer to provide a concurrent overview of ILL and/or Citation Server. If a second trainer will be sent Kelly agreed to provide a Voyager Access Reports presentation or possible training session. The tentative schedule for the 29th is as follows: CONCURRENT SESSIONS 9:00 – 12:00 Acquisitions Training ILL &/or Citation Server Access Reports presentation 12:00 – 1:30 Lunch 1:30 – 2:45 CONCURRENT BREAKOUT SESSIONS WebVoyage Cataloging Report Writer/Sys Admin Circulation 3:00 – 4:00 Business Meeting/Wrap Up Kelly still needs to check into pricing on the food. He will check with UK catering on Monday for price information and get back to Perry and Tyler. UK catering menus were examined and the Standard Lunch Deli Buffet looked the most promising. Juice and coffee breaks in the morning and afternoon will also be priced. It was agreed that a charged would be levied for all attendees that would include any sessions and food. It was agreed that more promotion was needed for the event. When the plans are firmed Perry will send announcements to the KYVL, KLA, and KVUG-L listservs. SECRETARY/TREASURER POSITION: Due to reorganization at Georgetown College, Paula McGowan is stepping down as the KVUG Secretary Treasurer. We thank Paula for her help and assistance these past 6 months and wish her well in her new position at Georgetown College. A new Secretary/Treasurer needs to be found, and someone from an independent institution would be preferred. Tyler and Perry will give it some thought and contact anyone who might be interested. Anyone may apply for the position and it is agreed that the office will be filled by election at the group meeting on June 29th.
