CE 1 PubMed: Train the Trainer

This hands-on class is designed for experienced searchers
of the MEDLARS databases and will examine the PubMed search interface. Familiarity with
MEDLINE, the MeSH vocabulary, and Boolean logic is required. Demonstrations and sample
searches will be done for each of PubMed's search modes: Basic, Advanced, Boolean, and
Clinical Queries. Examples on how to translate certain ELHILL command language techniques
to the PubMed and Internet Grateful Med (IGM) interfaces will also be covered. Two Quick
Reference Guides to IGM will be included in the course materials, although IGM will not be
covered in class. [Limited to 35 attendees]
CE 2 Digital Dilemmas: Acquisition,
Use, and Copyright Issues for Libraries

CE 6 Frequently Asked Technical Questions: Telecommunications and the Internet
