MC/SC MLA '98 Joint Meeting Welcome to Lexington

The city is an interesting combination of urban sophistication and rural charm. A variety of activities are available to keep visitors busy. Visiting historical sites, arts and crafts festivals and sporting events are a few examples of fun activities for you to do while in Lexington or the surrounding area.
Lexington is famous for its horses and outstanding horse farms. Thoroughbred racing is a popular activity every April and October. Festivals are held throughout the year where visitors have the opportunity to see demonstrations of quilt-making, basket-weaving, candle-making, furniture-building and pottery construction.
