Lexington is located in the
center of the Bluegrass Region of Kentucky. The city is an interesting combination of
urban sophistication and rural charm. A variety of activities are available to keep
visitors busy. Visiting historical sites, arts and crafts festivals and sporting events
are a few examples of fun activities for you to do while in Lexington or the surrounding
area.

| Lexington is famous for its horses and outstanding horse farms. Thoroughbred racing is a popular activity every April and October. A visit to the Kentucky Horse Park, Keeneland Race Track or Calumet Farms is a must during any trip to the area. |

The Bluegrass Region is also known for its beautiful arts and crafts. Festivals are held throughout the year where visitors have the opportunity to see demonstrations of quilt-making, basket-weaving, candle-making, furniture-building and pottery construction. |
