Life "Down on the Farm" is recreated in an "Old Kentucky Night" at the Horse Park. Take pleasure in a relaxing evening of hayrides, buffet dinner (Kentucky Burgoo, fried chicken, barbecue pork, cole slaw, buttered corn, assorted bread, pecan pie, beverage) and touring the grounds of a beautiful working horse farm set in the "Heart of the Bluegrass." Visit with village artisans and listen to costumed interpreters discuss the Shakers and give information on the graceful architecture. WILLIAM T. YOUNG LIBRARY (UNIVERSITY OF KENTUCKY) SUNDAY OCTOBER 11, 1998 10:30 a.m.-NOON Opened in April,1998, the approximately 350,000 square-foot building has the capacity for 1.2 million volumes and seats more than 4,000 persons. This facility combines social sciences, humanities and life sciences collections from various locations on campus and includes 1986 and older material from the UK Medical Center Library. KEENELAND RACE TRACK WEDNESDAY thru SUNDAY POST TIME 1:10 p.m. Public transportation to attend thoroughbred racing is available from the Lexington Center (across from the conference hotel). Hourly runs are made from 10:00 A.M. until the last race ends. Cost is $1.00 each way. Directions will be available for those who wish to drive. Admission is $2.50.
