Explore, Plan & ACT Workshop
Overview
The goal of this workshop is to provide schools with mathematics and science strategies to develop rigorous instruction in preparation for the Spring 2009 ACT test. These strategies are also conducive to EXPLORE and PLAN. The workshop will focus on:
- Purpose of the ACT
- Implications of state-wide testing
- Strategies for taking the mathematics and science component of the ACT
- Developing a school/district plan for preparing students to be successful with the ACT
Teachers who do not teach in a math/science classroom may not find enough discipline-specific information in this training.
Target Audience
It is strongly encouraged that a district team, including each of the below mentioned participants, attends this workshop:
Middle & high school math & science teacher, administrator, counselor and district curriculum supervisor

Cost
$135 per participant
Includes meeting space and catering, facilitator fees, administrative support, and all training materials.
