Fair Share Fraction Fun (FSFF)

Fractions for grades K-3

Overview

A true understanding of fractions should begin before the intermediate level. Participants will learn practical, concrete models to apply fraction concepts at this one-day workshop for K-3 teachers. The manipuatives used in the training provide students with hands-on experience, while the lessons allow students opportunities to reflect on their thinking about fractions as they try to make sense of the formal symbolic system.
