Network for New Math and Science Teachers (NNMST)
Overview & Goals
The Network for New Math and Science Teachers (NNMST) provides teachers with the tools and expertise that will enable them to provide high-quality math and science instruction to their students. The meetings will focus on:
- Program of Studies and State Curriculum Standards
- how to create lessons and unit plans
- targeting known student misconceptions
- best practice strategies based on current research
- designing classroom formative and summative assessments
- improving literacy in math and science
- incorporating inquiry
Target Audience
New math and science teachers (grades K-12) with 0-5 years experience including teachers with a MAT
Cost
$745 per participant
Includes morning refreshments and lunch, meeting space, facilitator fees, administrative support, and all training materials.
