This two-day session for science teachers, participants will use the Curriculum Topic Study to examine a unifying concept in our state standards. They will then use the CTS notes to deconstruct the standards into achievable learning targets.

A true understanding of fractions should begin before the intermediate level. Participants will learn practical, concrete models to help K-3 students achieve a true understanding of fractions.

In this two-day session, participants will learn how to create an Assessment for Learning environment and will explore how creating that environment can result in enhanced student achievement.

This training is a way to engage students in grades 2-8 who are struggling with foundational math skills by utilizing models and games as a different way to approach these concepts.

This workshop takes a conceptual approach to teaching fractions using manipulative materials and developing concepts to help students understand and operate on fractions in a meaningful way.
