FAMED LATIN JAZZ BAND TO PLAY UK

March 29, 1999 — (Lexington, Ky.) — The Latin jazz band Cubanismo led by Jesus Alemany will be in concert at 8 p.m. Sunday, April 18, in the University of Kentucky Student Center Grand Ballroom.
JazzTimes has deemed the band a great entertainer.
"When Alemany's piercing trumpet erupts on ‘Descarga de Hoy,’ the opening number on this quintessentially Cuban release, you know you're in for a treat. Alemany is joined by the great pianist Alfredo Rodriguez and an all-star lineup of Cuban musicians, including the famed cuguero Tata Guines."
