May 11, 1999 -- (Lexington, Ky.) – The University of
Kentucky Early Childhood Laboratory will host the 1999 Carnival for Young Children from 10
a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 22, on the UK campus. The event will include fun learning
activities for children through age 6 and will take place in the Memorial Hall
amphitheater, near the College of Human Environmental Science.
There will be no admission charge for the carnival. However, donations to the Early
Childhood Laboratory Building Fund will be accepted. The fund was established to aid in
the relocation of the lab school on campus. For more information on the carnival or
laboratory, call (606)257-7732. The ECL office is located in 12 Erikson Hall.
