23, 1999 (Lexington, Ky.) A seminar
designed to help non-accountants gain an understanding of bookkeeping, financial
statements and budgeting will be held at the University of Kentucky Gatton College of
Business and Economics from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 15-16. "Accounting
for Non-Accountants" will be presented by accounting professor James A. Knoblett.
The two-day seminar covers fundamentals of balance sheets, income statements, ratios,
break-even analysis, funds flow concepts, budgeting, and profit planning and capital
budgeting. No previous knowledge of accounting is necessary.
All classes will be held at the Gatton College of Business and Economics on the UK
campus. Registration is $375 (includes lunch and materials) for the seminar. For more
