University of Kentucky Research Foundation's 2000-2001 Board of Directors includes UK
President Charles T. Wethington, Jr.; Fitzgerald B. Bramwell, vice president for Research
and Graduate Studies; Lexington Campus Chancellor Elisabeth Zinser; James W. Holsinger
Jr., medical center chancellor; Ben Carr, vice president for administration; George DeBin,
vice president for fiscal affairs; Marian Sims and John R. "Jack" Guthrie, UK
Board of Trustees members; Don Gash and Robert Haddon, UK faculty; Henry Jackson, Jackson Plastics; and F. Richard
Kurzynske, Cyrus Partnership. Founded in 1945, UKRF is a not-for-profit Kentucky
corporation that receives external grants and contracts, intellectual property income, and
other designated income for the university. UKRF
oversees the protection, development, and commercialization of intellectual properties and
manages special cooperative agreements.
