Greek organizations at the University of Kentucky recently received awards for academic
achievement. The recipients for the
Outstanding Scholastic Achievement Award were: Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority with a 2.9 GPA .
Delta Delta Delta sorority with a 3.3 GPA.
Sigma Chi fraternity with a 2.96 GPA.
The award, given by the UK Office of Greek Affairs, honors the UK Greek organizations
that had the highest chapter grade point average for the spring semester of 1999 and the
fall semester of 2000.
The recipients of the award for Most Improved Greek Organization were Alpha Xi Delta
sorority and Delta Sigma Phi fraternity.
The organizations were recognized at the annual UK Honors and Recognition Awards
program held April 16 in the Student Center Grand Ballroom.
