21, 2001 (Lexington, Ky.) Lexington Community College is now
accepting applications for all three sessions of its Childrens Summer Program. The program is designed to provide enriching
educational and recreational experiences for students age 6 to 14. Taught by LCC and University of
Kentucky faculty and experts from the community, activities are planned to allow students
to be actively involved in creative learning. Classes
offered include Creative Dance, Science Safari, Photography, Cookie Company, Crime Scene,
Karate, Mother Earth and many, many more. Sessions
run June 4-22 (I), June 25-July 13 (II) and July 16-August 3 (III) with all classes taught
on the LCC Cooper Drive campus. Classes for
each session meet Monday through Friday for three weeks and cost $99.
