This
workshop will address UK policies and procedures for
reporting instances of discrimination and how the
university investigates reports.

6, 2001 (Lexington, Ky.) -- Representatives of the UK Affirmative Action Office
will present "Discrimination Is Prohibited at the
University of Kentucky" from 1:30 to 3 p.m. today
(Tuesday, Nov 6) and from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday,
Nov. 7, in the auditorium of the William T. Young
Library.
Terry Allen,
assistant vice president for affirmative action, and
Patty Bender, UK's affirmative action/equal opportunity
compliance officer, will speak about UK policies and
procedures for reporting instances of discrimination
and how the university investigates reported situations.
Sexual and racial discrimination will be major topics,
and a question-and-answer session will follow the
workshop.
The workshop
is open to all members of the UK community - faculty,
staff and students.
