24, 2001 (Lexington, Ky.) -- A
nationally renowned expert on the restoration of historic
buildings has inspected the fire-damaged UK Administration
Building and will report his findings to an ad hoc
university committee at 3 p.m. today in the Commonwealth
House, 226 E. Maxwell St.
Charles
A. Phillips is a Winston-Salem, N.C.-based architect
and conservator.
The
committee, which was appointed by UK President Lee
T. Todd Jr., is considering several options pertaining
to restoration of the campus landmark.
