Sept. 6, 2001 (Lexington, Ky.) -- Live music, fun and food will be available to all from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, in the "Rose Bowl," the lawn area on the Rose Street side of the William T. Young Library. A bowl party will be held each Friday in September and on Oct. 19.

The parties, sponsored by Student Affairs and the university provost, are an effort to increase campus community activities.

"This is a new and exciting way for faculty, staff and students to get together and get to know each other better," said UK Acting Provost Michael T. Nietzel.

Food from Ovid's will be on sale at the events and can be purchased with Diner cards, Plus Accounts or cash.
