Sept.
20, 2001 (Lexington, Ky.) -- UK's
second "Rose Bowl Party," featuring live
music, fun and food will be held from 4 to 6 p.m.
Friday, Sept. 21, in the "Rose Bowl," the
lawn area on the Rose Street side of the William T.
Young Library. A bowl party will be held Sept. 28
and Oct. 19.
Blues singer
Bryan Himes will perform at this week's party. The
UK Jazz Ensemble will play on Sept. 28, and the Johnson
Brothers are scheduled for Oct. 19.
The parties,
sponsored by Student Affairs and the university provost,
are an effort to increase campus community activities.

said UK Acting Provost Michael T. Nietzel.
Food from
Ovid's will be on sale at the events and can be purchased
with Diner cards, Plus Accounts or cash.
