April 26, 2002 (Lexington, Ky.) -- Researchers at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center will conduct a public forum focusing on Parkinson's disease from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, in the Health Sciences Learning Center auditorium, room 115.

Status of a clinical trial now underway at UK and encouraging results of a similar study in England will be discussed.

The purpose of this forum is not to solicit potential participants in the UK clinical trial, but to provide the public with the most current information about Parkinson's disease research.

For those who might have difficulty parking on campus, a bus will transport participants from Crestwood Christian Church. The bus will depart the church parking lot at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, and will return attendees to the church after the forum is adjourned.
