LCC HOSTS COMMENCEMENT CEREMONIES

April 29, 2002 (Lexington, Ky.) -- Commencement ceremonies for May 2002 Lexington Community College graduates will take place at 7 p.m. Friday, May 3, in the University of Kentucky Memorial Coliseum.

The college will confer more than 400 associate degrees in arts, science and applied science. Special awards will be presented to honor the outstanding female and male graduates, program graduates, alumnus and faculty.

Dr. Joanne K. Glasser, president of Eastern Kentucky University, will deliver the keynote address.

Since assuming office October 29, 2001, President Glasser has focused on creating an environment of diversity, inclusiveness, and consultative decision-making.

Families and friends of graduates are encouraged to attend.
