A UK
holiday tradition, the chorus is 50 voices strong
and has performed more than 20 holiday concerts at
UK. In addition to the traditional holiday music selections,
the chorus will be singing selections written just
for them by Donovan Scholar Pat Scheidt.

Ky. (Dec. 13, 2002) -- The University of
Kentucky Donovan Chorus free concert is set for 2
p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, in the Recital Hall of the
Singletary Center for the Arts.
A UK holiday tradition, the chorus is 50 voices strong
and has performed more than 20 holiday concerts at
UK. In addition to the traditional holiday music selections,
the chorus will be singing selections written just
for them by Donovan Scholar Pat Scheidt.
Michael Rinamaa, music director at Central Christian
Church in Lexington, will direct the Donovan Chorus.
He will be assisted by Brian Nichols, a UK student.
The Donovan Scholars program offers free classes
at UK to persons age 65 and older. There are currently
about 2,000 Donovan Scholars.
