Sabi
Diri's dance is rooted in traditional and contemporary
ethnic dances and includes song, poetry and music.

26, 2002 (Lexington, Ky.) --
Sabi Diri, a multi-ethnic dance company under the
direction of University of Kentucky anthropology graduate
student Aminata Baruti, will perform two benefit concerts
at the Lexington Children's Theater at 2 and 8 p.m.
March 30.
Tickets
for the 2 p.m. show are $15 for the general public
and $10 for children ages 12 and under. The cost for
the 8 p.m. show is $25 or $20 for two tickets or more.
Sabi Diri
is comprised of UK students of African-American, Chinese
Malaysian, Euro-American and African-Caribbean heritages.
