Roberts
received a 2002 KPhA Professional Promotion Award,
which recognizes an individual who exhibits outstanding
efforts to demonstrate the importance of pharmacy
as a health care profession and promotes proper application
of pharmacists' professional services.

University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy Dean Kenneth
B. Roberts, Ph.D., and Joseph Fink III, J.D., UK vice
president for Corporate Relations and Economic Outreach
and professor of pharmacy, received Kentucky Pharmacists
Association (KPhA) awards this past weekend.
Roberts
received a 2002 KPhA Professional Promotion Award,
which recognizes an individual who exhibits outstanding
efforts to demonstrate the importance of pharmacy
as a health care profession and promotes proper application
of pharmacists' professional services.
Fink, who
also serves as associate vice president for research
at UK and is a professor of health administration
and public health, received a 2002 KPhA Distinguished
Service Award. The award is presented to an active
or honorary life member of the association who has
made significant contributions to the association
and the profession over an extended period of time.
