David
Nima Meigooni, 15, presented his science project,

Cancer Cells by Curcumin," at the fair held in
Louisville.

A Paul Lawrence Dunbar High School sophomore recently
was awarded a graduate scholarship to the University
of Kentucky for his presentation at the Intel International
Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF).
David
Nima Meigooni, 15, presented his science project,
"Synchronization vs. Sensitization of Prostate
Cancer Cells by Curcumin," at the fair held in
Louisville.
Meigooni
also was awarded a full undergraduate scholarship
to Kentucky State University.
Mansoor
Ahmed, Ph.D., radiation medicine, UK Chandler Medical
Center, associate professor of radiation medicine,
UK College of Medicine, served as Meigooni's mentor
for the project.
The Intel
ISEF is the world's largest pre-college celebration
of science. Held annually, the Intel ISEF brings together
over 1,200 students from 40 nations.
