An
awards panel reviewed and selected the top three innovative
teaching portfolios from among the 26 submitted. Those
selected will receive a $1,200 stipend to attend the
AACP Annual Meeting and Seminars from July 12-17,
and present their innovations at a special session
on Tuesday, July 16.

16, 2002 (Lexington, Ky.) -- University
of Kentucky College of Pharmacy faculty members Kenneth
E. Record, Pharm.D., associate professor, and Peggy
Piascik, Ph.D., associate professor, have received
a 2002 Innovations in Teaching Competition award.
The competition,
in its 10th year, is sponsored by an educational grant
from Merck and Co. Inc. Record and Piascik will be
honored by the American Association of Colleges of
Pharmacy (AACP) Council of Faculties for "The Behavior
Modification Experience: Application, Accountability
and Coaching."
