of $500 for first place, $300 for second place, $200

Ky. (Oct. 31, 2002) -- Halloween is taking
on a new feel at the University of Kentucky as Student
Government throws the first ever "Catatonic Halloween"
party from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. tonight (Thursday, Oct.
31) at Heritage Hall in downtown Lexington. Free tickets
are available at the Student Center Ticketmaster and
all UK students, faculty and staff with a valid ID
are invited.
Catatonic Halloween is the second installment in
SG's Big Year of Bashes. The party will include live
music from Motown recording artist Black Coffey and
DJ Dceezy, a UK student. There also will be food,
cash bars and a costume contest. Prizes of $500 for
first place, $300 for second place, $200 for third
place and $100 for fourth place will be awarded for
best costumes.
Student Government also will provide free transportation
to and from the event. Buses will run from 8 p.m.
to 10 p.m. and midnight to 2 a.m. on the night of
the event at three locations: Student Center, the
Hilary J. Boone Center and the Kirwan-Blanding Complex.
