This
year's UK Spotlight Jazz Festival features Terence
Blanchard on Oct. 19, Herbie Hancock Quartet on Nov.
13, Dave Holland Quartet on Feb. 1, and Regina Carter
on March 2.

Tickets go on sale today for the Spotlight Jazz Series,
which - at 25 years - is the longest running collegiate
jazz series in the country.

are on sale at the UK Student Center ticket office,

for the following performances:
-- Terence
Blanchard, called one of the most important musician/composer/band
leaders of his generation, 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct.
19, in the Singletary Center for the Arts. Tickets
are $23 for reserved admission and $14 for UK and
Lexington Community College students.
-- Herbie
Hancock Quartet, 8 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 13, in the
Singletary Center for the Arts. Reserved admission
is $25 and $17 for UK and LCC students.
-- Dave
Holland Quartet, 8 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003, in
the Lexington Opera House. Reserved Admission is $23
and $14 for UK and LCC students.
-- Regina
Carter, 8 p.m., Sunday, March 2, 2003, in the Lexington
Opera House. Reserved admission is $23 and $14 for
UK and LCC students.
