On
Sept. 10, about 200 UK faculty, staff, students and
members of the Lexington community turned out at the
Worsham Theatre to hear members of the Patterson School
faculty analyze world events related to 9/11 and the
war in Afghanistan.

A University of Kentucky Patterson School of Diplomacy
and International Commerce forum titled “The
Continuing Impact of 9/11: A Year Later” will
be broadcast today through Tuesday, Sept. 24, from
6 to 8 p.m. on UK Channel 16.
On the
eve of the anniversary of the terrorist attacks, about
200 UK faculty, staff, students and members of the
Lexington community turned out at the Worsham Theatre
to hear members of the Patterson School faculty analyze
world events related to 9/11 and the war in Afghanistan.
The panelists and their topics included:
• John Stempel: "The Diplomatic Legacy
of 9/11"
• Mike Desch: "9/11 and U.S. Grand Strategy"
• Karen Mingst: "9/11 and the Future of
Multilaterialism"
• Eugene Gholz: "The Economic Repercussions
of 9/11"
• Robert Pringle: "9/11 and the Future
of U.S. Intelligence"
During the final hour of the forum, the panelists
fielded questions and comments from the audience.
