UK College of Dentistry Class of 2006 member Ashley Carnahan received her white coat from Leon A. Assael, D.M.D., dean of the College.

Sept. 27, 2002 (Lexington, Ky.) -- It was the beginning of a new chapter for the 53 members of the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry's Class of 2006 as they recently embarked on their dental education at the College's White Coat Ceremony.

During the ceremony, first-year students received white coats representing their entry into the dental profession as student dentists.

Dental faculty welcomed students to the dental profession as colleagues and challenged them to make a commitment toward gaining the knowledge and compassion necessary to become outstanding dentists.
