UK Breaks Ground for Inclusive Gardening

Sept. 25, 2002 (Lexington, Ky.) -- The Kentucky GROW project will hold a demonstration of barrier-free gardening at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 27, at the UK/Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government Arboretum, Alumni Drive.

Matt John, project director, and Candace Harker, Extension Specialist for Horticulture, will show ways that special tools and techniques can make gardening possible for virtually anyone.

Kentucky GROW is a partnership of the UK Interdisciplinary Human Development Institute, the Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service and the Kentucky Department of Vocational Rehabilitation.
