April 24, 2003 (Lexington, Ky.) -- The UK Athletics calendar features a number of special events in the coming weeks.

The Blue/White Spring Football Game will be played at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 26, in Commonwealth Stadium. Admission and parking are free to everyone. Seating is first-come, first-served, so if you’ve always wanted to sit on the 50-yard-line, this is your chance!

The game format will feature a change from previous years. The varsity will play all four quarters of the game. Alumni teams will play touch football during halftime of the varsity game.

A limited number of tickets are available to the general public for UK’s inaugural “Catspy Awards” on Monday, April 28. The event, patterned after ESPN’s popular “ESPY Awards,” will honor UK student-athletes in all 22 varsity sports.

The evening begins with a buffet dinner at Memorial Coliseum at 6:30 p.m., followed by the awards presentation at 8:30 p.m. in the Concert Hall of the Singletary Center for the Arts. Tickets are priced at $30. To order tickets, stop by the UK Ticket Office in Memorial Coliseum (9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday), or call (859) 257-1818 or (1-800) 928-CATS.
