Greek students at the University of Kentucky will
honor their best and brightest while giving back to
the community during the Greek Service Week, to be
held April 6-12.
Sponsored by the Inter-Greek Programming Assembly,
the week’s events encourage fraternity and sorority
members to celebrate their Greek affiliations with
various service and recognition activities.
The week’s events will include:

Wildcat Run, noon, April 6, UK/Lexington-Fayette
Urban County Government Arboretum, to benefit
the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.

Monday at the Manchester Center, 3-5 p.m., April
7. UK fraternity and sorority members will facilitate
fun activities with children involved in the program.

Apple Polishing, 4-6 p.m., April 8, Maxwell Place.
“Thank You” reception hosted by President
Lee T. Todd Jr. and First Lady Patsy Todd for
those who have supported the UK Greek community.

UK baseball with the children of Big Brothers/Big
Sisters of Lexington, 6 p.m., April 9, Cliff
Hagan Stadium. Pre-game activities will begin
at 4 p.m.

Greek Banquet, 7 p.m., Student Center Grand Ballroom.
Student and other honors will be awarded. Robert
Gillette, associate professor in the UK
Gatton College of Business and Economics, will
be the keynote speaker.
