August 25, 2003 (Lexington, Ky.) -- The Makenna Foundation will host “The Art of Making Miracles” to benefit the University of Kentucky Children’s Hospital from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, on the grounds of RE/MAX Creative Realty on Palumbo Drive at Man o’ War. Funds raised will be used for a sedation room in the new UK Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Clinic. The evening’s events include a live and silent auction and food from area restaurants, including a la lucie, Alfalfa, Atomic Cafe, Bella Notte, Columbia Steak House, O’Charley’s, The Phoenix, Portofino, Rossi’s, T.G.I. Friday’s, Seasons Catering, and Turf Catering Company. Former Cincinnati Reds baseball player Doug Flynn will emcee the event. Tickets are $50 per person in advance and $60 on the day of the event.
