Feb. 20, 2003 (Lexington, Ky.) -- The University of Kentucky President’s Commission on Diversity presents a panel discussion in celebration of Black History Month, “While We Were Sleeping: Toward Diversity in Higher Education.”
The event is scheduled from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, in the Rasdall Gallery of the UK Student Center. A reception will follow. It is free and open to the public.
Panelists include Doris Y. Wilkinson, UK professor of sociology; Tamara Brown, UK assistant professor of psychology; Horace Bartilow, UK associate professor of political science; and Yolanda Pierce, UK assistant professor of English. J. John Harris, UK professor of education and vice-chairman of the commission, will serve as moderator.
