Former Baghdad Envoy to Test the Winds of War

Ambassador Ed Peck, former deputy director of the White House Task Force on Terrorism, will discuss U.S. foreign policy as it relates to Iraq from 8 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4, in 206 UK Student Center.

Jan. 31, 2003 (Lexington, Ky.) -- Ambassador Ed Peck, former deputy director of the White House Task Force on Terrorism, will discuss U.S. foreign policy as it relates to Iraq from 8 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4, in 206 UK Student Center. The event is sponsored by the UK Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce.

Peck capped a 30-year career in the U.S. Foreign Service as Ambassador to Mauretania after serving as second in command at embassies in Baghdad and Cairo.

Since his retirement, Peck has become a regular Middle East commentator on U.S., British and Canadian television networks.
