Volunteers Sought for
Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration

Volunteers are needed to help in various aspects of planning and producing the events. Volunteer opportunities include assisting technicians with Heritage Hall setup, distributing song sheets to march participants, assisting in the march lineup, helping with youth programs, and ushering the main program.

 

Jan. 10, 2003 (Lexington, Ky.) -- The University of Kentucky and the city of Lexington will observe Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday on Jan. 20 with several activities, including the annual downtown Freedom March and holiday program. The events are supported by UK and the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, as well as community organizations and businesses.
