March 12, 2003 (Lexington, Ky.) -- University of Kentucky men’s head basketball coach Tubby Smith was recently named the Southeastern Conference Coach of the Year by the Associated Press and the SEC coaches. Senior guard Keith Bogans earned Player of the Year honors from the SEC coaches and also named to the first-team All-SEC by the coaches and the AP.
