May 20, 2003 (Lexington, Ky.) -- A team of University of Kentucky College of Engineering students and faculty members has successfully completed a project that could help send a winged planetary explorer near the surface of Mars.

In doing so, the team provided elegant solutions to some puzzling engineering problems.
