‘Pipe Dream or Possibility’ Conference to Be Held

Conference topics covered will include “Using the Media to Aid the Citizen Voice in Protecting Children,” “Measuring the Effectiveness of Citizens Review Panels,” “Collaborating with Child Fatality Review Teams in Reviewing Child Welfare Systems,” and “Using Citizens Review Panels During the Child and Family Services Review.” Keynote speaker will be Amanda Bennett, editor of the Lexington Herald-Leader.

 

May 1, 2003 (Lexington, Ky.) -- The University of Kentucky College of Social Work Training Resource Center will hold its second annual “Pipe Dream or Possibility: Citizen Involvement in Child Welfare” conference May 22-23 at the Holiday Inn North Lexington.

Conference topics covered will include “Using the Media to Aid the Citizen Voice in Protecting Children,” “Measuring the Effectiveness of Citizens Review Panels,” “Collaborating with Child Fatality Review Teams in Reviewing Child Welfare Systems,” and “Using Citizens Review Panels During the Child and Family Services Review.” Keynote speaker will be Amanda Bennett, editor of the Lexington Herald-Leader.
