LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 2, 2003) -- It was the beginning of a new chapter for the 54 members of the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry’s Class of 2007 as they recently embarked on their dental education at the college’s White Coat Ceremony. During the ceremony, first-year students, 39 of whom are from Kentucky, received white coats representing their entry into the dental profession as student dentists. Dental faculty welcomed students to the dental profession as colleagues and challenged them to make a commitment to gaining the knowledge and compassion necessary to become outstanding dentists.
