LEXINGTON,
Ky. (April 9, 2004) -- Floral
artists from about 25 local florist companies
will create spectacularly colored arrangements
for the popular “Art in Bloom” exhibit
at the University of Kentucky Art
Museum in the Singletary Center for the Arts
on Rose Street Friday morning, April 16.
The
exhibit will be open to the public during regular
Art Museum hours from Friday afternoon through
Sunday, April 18, said Art Museum director Kathy
Walsh-Piper.
The
florists will devise creative arrangements using
flowers, plants and other natural elements to interpret
artwork from some of the museum’s permanent
collection and pieces from the current exhibit “A
Ceramic Continuum: Fifty Years of the Archie
Bray Influence,” Walsh-Piper added.
For
further information, go to the Web
site or call Carolyn Payton at the Art Museum,
