LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 13, 2004) -- The University of Kentucky chapter of Omicron Delta Kappa, a national leadership honor society, is seeking nominations for the first annual Mom and Dad of the Year Award. A Parental Figure of the Year Award also will be handed out.

Three awards will be presented, honoring a mother, a father, and a parental figure. The awards pay tribute to a UK student’s parent or parental figure, who has helped promote the student’s leadership and growth while at the university.

Only currently enrolled UK students may nominate a parent or parental figure. The nominees do not have to be alumni of UK.

To nominate a parent or parental figure, students should fill out this form and return it to Mom/Dad/Parental Figure of the Year, Omicron Delta Kappa, 209 Student Center, UK, Lexington, Ky. 40506-0030 or e-mail the nomination to Erin Hoben.
