NCAA Self-study Steering Committee Meets

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Aug. 19, 2004) --The steering committee for the University of Kentucky Self-study for NCAA Division I Certification will hold an all-day work session beginning at 8:30 a.m. Friday, August 20, in the Wimbledon Room of the Boone Center, at the corner of Rose Street and Columbia Avenue. The committee and subcommittees are continuing their work as part of a yearlong process to evaluate UK’s athletics program. The self-study is a requirement of NCAA membership and is designed to ensure that an institution meets or exceeds the standards of established criteria set by the NCAA for certification.
