LEXINGTON, Ky. (Aug. 26, 2004) -- University of Kentucky Police have issued a Campus Safety Alert following a case of menacing which occurred Wednesday, August 25, 2004, at approximately 5:40 p.m. A juvenile visitor to the UK Chandler Medical Center reported he was resting in the courtyard when an unknown male grabbed him by the arm and would not let go. The victim was able to free himself from the grip of the suspect and immediately ran from the area.

The suspect is described as a white male in his mid thirties, 5’9” tall with a medium build and brown hair. He was wearing blue jean shorts, a blue shirt, and a white ball cap. Security video shows the suspect entering and leaving the area on a bicycle.

UK Police and Chandler Medical Center Security have increased patrols around this area.
