LEXINGTON,
Ky. (Feb. 6, 2004) -- For
the second consecutive year University of Kentucky
admission and recruitment publications have received
national recognition at the Annual
Admissions Advertising Awards sponsored by
Admissions Marketing Report, the national newspaper
of admissions marketing.
In
the category for schools with enrollment of 20,000
or more, UK’s recruitment poster and Schedule
of Classes book received top honors, garnering
gold awards, and the university’s recruitment
video received a silver award. A recruitment magazine
advertisement and UK’s lead brochure received
bronze awards. UK’s viewbook, television
advertisement, and complete recruitment package – which
includes the Schedule of Classes and Bulletin – received
merit awards.
Jacquie
Hager, associate registrar, and Matt Patterson,
publications manager in the Office
of Undergraduate Admission and University Registrar,
coordinated and implemented the publications’ content,
format and designs.
“I
am pleased with our increased visibility and the
higher standards that the university has placed
on our recruitment materials,” said Don Witt,
university registrar and director of admission.
Over
700 institutions vied in the competition which
was judged by a panel of industry specialists.
Criteria included professionalism in quality, creativity
and message effectiveness.
