Composite of suspect
 The
suspect is described as a black male wearing a
gray toboggan, bubble jacket, dark jeans and white
shoes. The suspect is also described as possibly
having a mustache.

LEXINGTON,
Ky. (Jan. 21, 2004) -- University
of Kentucky Police are investigating an armed
robbery that occurred on campus at approximately
7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21. The incident took
place near the Mineral Industries Building, located
behind the College of Law Building.
“A
university employee reported that he was approached
by the suspect who was carrying a knife and demanded
the employee’s wallet,” said Travis
Manley, UK Police public information officer. “After
taking the wallet, the suspect reportedly fled
on foot toward South Limestone.”
The
victim was not injured.
The
suspect is described as a black male wearing a
gray toboggan, bubble jacket, dark jeans and white
shoes. The suspect is also described as possibly
having a mustache.
UK
Police urge all UK students and employees to take
safety precautions. Students and employees are
advised to walk in pairs or groups especially after
dark and carry only a minimal amount of cash. Police
say if anyone is accosted, to comply with the demands
of the assailant and report the incident immediately
by calling 911.
